Zindagi bitani, is about forced arranged marriages and honour killings still prevalent in India.
The song starts in the yellow fields of Punjab and moves to a typical marriage atmosphere with the bhangra beats coming in, where the lyrics talk about a woman who is getting into a marriage to spend a lifetime in an arrangement.
With some hip-hop beats intercutting in the song as if coming from deep inside and a rebel voice suddenly starts talking of wanting to be a free bird and fly to life with choices she can make.
